Consolidations or Transfers
The 2nd Ohio Independent Company Sharpshooters was assigned as Company H, Birge’s Western Sharpshooters, later designated the 66th Illinois Infantry. The company retained its independent designation until reenlistment as veterans, after which it was known by letter only.
