Unassigned Recruits

Some recruits transferred from the 68th and 72nd Indiana Infantry in July 1865 may not be fully accounted for in company records.

Consolidations or Transfers

In July 1865, 360 recruits from the 68th and 72nd Indiana Infantry were transferred to the 44th Indiana Infantry. The regiment was mustered out on September 14, 1865.
