Consolidations or Transfers
On July 12, 1865, a company from the 36th Indiana Infantry, commanded by Captain John Swisher, was transferred to the 30th Indiana Infantry and designated as Company H. In December 1864, the veterans and recruits of the regiment were consolidated into a battalion of seven companies.
