Overview
The 112th Ohio Infantry (Infantry) was an infantry regiment organized in Ohio for service in the Union Army during the American Civil War. The regiment was intended to serve as part of Ohio’s contribution to the Federal forces, but it did not complete its organization. The men who had been recruited for the 112th Ohio Infantry were ultimately transferred to another Ohio regiment.
Organization & Service
The 112th Ohio Infantry (Infantry) began organizing in Ohio during the Civil War, with the intention of joining the Union Army as a full regiment. However, the regiment was never fully organized or mustered into Federal service.
