Consolidations or Transfers

On January 17, 1865, the 77th Ohio Infantry (Three Years’ Service) was consolidated into a battalion of six companies, composed of veterans and recruits, and retained in service until final muster out on March 8, 1866. Some original companies were merged or disbanded during this process.
