Consolidations or Transfers

After mustering out in August 1861, a significant number of men from the 13th Pennsylvania Infantry (Three Months’ Service) reenlisted and were later organized as the 102nd Pennsylvania Infantry. This transition occurred after a period in Washington, D.C., where the men awaited formal recognition as a new regiment.
