Consolidations or Transfers

After the expiration of the three months’ service, all companies except Company I reenlisted for three years’ service and formed the 8th Ohio Infantry (Three Years’ Service). Company I was mustered out in August 1861, except for eight men who transferred to the new three years’ regiment.
