Commands.
Brigade composed of the Eighth, Ninth, Tenth, Eleventh and Fourteenth Alabama, the Nineteenth Mississippi, and Thirty-eighth Virginia Regiments Infantry, Anderson's Division, A. P. Hill's Corps, Army of Northern Virginia. Division composed of the brigades of Lane, Scales, McGowan, and Thomas.

Wilcox, Cadmus Marcellus, born in North Carolina, appointed from Tennessee cadet United States Military Academy, September 1, 1842; graduated fifty-fourth in a class of fifty-nine.
Brevet second lieutenant, Fourth Infantry, July 1, 1846.
Second lieutenant, Seventh Infantry, February 16, 1847.
Regimental adjutant from July 9 to 14, 1847.
Brevet first lieutenant, September 13, 1847, for gallant and meritorious conduct in the battle of Chapultepec, Mexico.
First lieutenant, August 24, 1851.
Captain, December 20, 1860.
Resigned June 8, 1861.
