92nd Indiana Infantry

Ninety-second Indiana Infantry. — This regiment was ordered recruited from the 2nd Congressional district, with rendezvous at New Albany. The attempt to recruit a full regiment was unsuccessful and the four companies raised were transferred to and made a part of the 93d regiment then being organized in the 3d district, with headquarters at Madison.
