Civil War Soldiers - Rosser

ROSSER, THOMAS L., Texas.
Colonel, Fifth Virginia Cavalry, June 24, 1862.
Brigadier general, P. A. C. S., September 28, 1863.
Major general, P. A. C. S., November 1, 1864.

Commands.
Brigade composed of the Seventh, Eleventh and Twelfth Regiments Virginia Cavalry, and Twenty-fifth Battalion Virginia Cavalry, Army of Northern Virginia. Division composed of the cavalry brigades of McCausland and Dearing, subsequently of the brigades of Payne and Munford, Army of Northern Virginia.

Major general, U. S. A., 1898.
